Why did you choose to perform this particular piece?
It has a very special meaning to me. It is about a sixteen year old begging her father to be allowed to marry the man she loves. The setting transcends all genres and all times. It applies to everyone.

How much time have you devoted to this art form?
I started in the 6th grade, so I would guess that's almost ten years now. And for ten years, I'd like to mention a very special teacher of mine: Janine Kirstein.
