OUR MISS AMERICAS

  • Since the Organization's inception in 1921, 75 women have become Miss America. Several factors have contributed to this disparity, including the naming of the only back-to-back winner (Mary Katherine Campbell in 1922-23), lapses due to major historic world events, and the introduction of the post-dating concept in September of 1950.

Today, Miss America logs approximately 20,000 miles a month, changing her location every 18 - 36 hours and reaching out to support charitable and community endeavors that characterize her present-day image.
