Atlantic City, NJ May 7, 2003 The Miss America Organization is pleased to announce the appointment of Stephen Moliver to the position of Director of Public Relations. In his role Moliver will be overseeing the corporate public relations, marketing, sponsorship development, licensing and merchandising programs of the Organization. He will additionally be responsible for marketing services, media relations and consumer brand building programs.
Everyone is excited to have Steve join the Organization. Its particularly valuable for us to have someone with his experience, energy and enthusiasm on our management team now given our plans to expand the sponsorship, licensed product, merchandising and branding areas. The seeds we have been planting are beginning to take root and these expanded initiatives will yield new non-traditional revenue and help grow the Organization, stated George Bauer, President and Chief Executive Officer. Weve begun to take a more fully-integrated marketing approach and are becoming more visible throughout the year, Bauer concluded.
Before joining The Miss America Organization Moliver served in general management, public affairs, marketing and sales positions at Global Television Sports, WMGM-TV and most recently Lenfest Broadcasting. Moliver has held similar management positions for companies in the Atlantic City region, including a professional basketball team, a weekly newsmagazine, and a casino/hotel. He has also worked as a marketing and communications consultant independently for many years. He served as the Executive Producer of the 2002 Miss America Parade live TV broadcast and has produced and directed many other live television events during his career.
